Is it already time for a learner's permit?
Brody like anything and everything with wheels. He loves cars, trucks, bikes, buses, and whenever we see another stroller or a even a wheelchair when we are out and about, he immediately lights up. During our trip to visit Chris, Stephanie, Gavin, Avery, and doggie Charlie, we spent time outside in the backyard and much to Brody's delight, he was so happy when Avery and Gavin shared their police car with Brody. Avery did a wonderful job showing Brody how to get in and out of the car....she even wanted to give Brody a little push once he got settled and ready to go. While the pushes were a little big (Avery just wanted Brody to go fast!), Brody enjoyed himself.

Yummy...Crawfish!
We recently visited friends in Portland, Oregon and decided to do something really touristy our first day there. So, with the help of those visitor pamphlets and brochures that have at the airport, we found one of the most touristy "Everyone Who Visits Portland Has to Eat Here" kind of restaurants for our first lunch downtown. All brochures pointed us to Jake's Famous Crawfish! We love seafood, so we thought we would check it out.
The staff at Jake's was great! With a one-year old in tow, they were very helpful in making sure that we had plenty to do to keep our little guy busy throughout the meal. When they saw Brody fussing, they brought bread. When he started banging his little hands on the table as if to say "Hello, I am here, pay attention to ME!," they brought him a little stuffed crawfish toy to play
with.
Perhaps we got the biggest kick out of watching Brody "play" with the actual crawfish that came with daddy's lunch! It was quite comical....we are now parents to the Crawfish King!
