Ready for Takeoff...or Not

Each year at Moffett Field, there is an air show that features fighter jets from WWII. With Brody's recent interest in airplanes and helicopters, we thought we'd head over to the air show to check it out.

Perhaps we got our hopes up a little too high that day. There were only 3 jets and we had to pay $30 for our family of 3 to get in. Don't get me wrong, fully restored WWII fighter jets are actually pretty amazing and I am certain that there are very few that are in as impeccable condition as the 3 we saw were. But $30 for entry? That was $12 a piece for Mike and I, and $6 for Brody, a 16 month old who mostly stayed in his stroller because heaven forbid he pull of some knob or touch something he wasn't allowed to.

Other than that, we did managed to get some pretty cool shots that day:
Pretty impressive

Hmm...a no brainer?
I guess a reminder is always helpful in case you forget.

Mike was able to climb inside and take some shots.

For a mere $2500 you could take a ride!

Funny Farm

A few weeks ago, Brody and I went exploring at Rancho San Antonio, a local reserve that has an abundance of running/hiking trails. And, we managed to stumble upon a wonderful little treasure in the Deer Hollow Farm. Like our previous trip to the SF Zoo, Brody really enjoyed seeing the animals, but I think that this time his favorite attraction was the huge tires on the Park Ranger's truck!

Look mommy, SHEEP!

How dirty can my hands get before mommy
makes me stop?

And he's off!
