Yes, Christmas has come and gone (I'll post pics later), but we've been gearing up for the main event of 2009....Brody's 1st Birthday!!! Yep, our little man turned 1 on January 23rd and we were so fortunatel to share his big day with family and friends. Last weekend, Grandma B and Aunt Beverly drove out from Arizona to spend time with us. We headed up to San Francisco for the day and Grandma B treated Brody to his first ice cream sundae at Ghirardelli's. Brody seemed to really enjoy the ice cream and hot fudge. Perhaps he has a sweet tooth like his mommy.
Grandma Jones flew up on Tuesday and was a big help in gearing up for Brody's birthday party. We had lots of fun trying to teach Brody to cheer and dance whenever we said "Happy Birthday!" We spent the week cleaning the house and setting up for Brody's pirate themed birthday party. Brody was amused with the decorations and especially enjoyed the balloons once they appeared at his party. Grandpa joined us on Friday and he and Brody spent some quality time together reading books as we put on the finishing touches for a wonderful celebration!
